Washboard Abs

Here's How You Can Get Washboard Abs Without Doing
Any Crunches or Sit-Ups

...By John Gioffre

The foundation to developing a strong core and having 6 pack abs isn't about doing 1000 crunches, however, most people tend to think so. I’m here to tell you forget about doing crunches! Let me break down some exercises for you that will help you develop a strong core with rock hard abs without doing a single crunch.

THESE EXERCISES ALSO BURN A LOT OF CALORIES AND BOOST YOUR METABOLISM UNLIKE MOST FORMS OF CRUNCHES AND SIT-UPS.

Let’s not forget that abs are made in the KITCHEN. You can do my program until the cow comes home, but if you’re not eating the right foods your abs won’t develop. So, don’t eat whatever you want, whenever you want in whatever amount you want and expect results.

Here are the 4 exercises that push your core to its limit without doing any crunches:

Deadlifts

This exercise really forces your core to work and it activates all the right muscles in your core.

Farmers Walk

Stand holding a 50-100lbs kettle bells or dumbbells by your side and keep your arms straight. Don’t lean towards the weight, tighten up your core to keep a straight posture. Walk for 30-50 yards and try to walk as normally as possible. If the weight is slipping or it feels uneasy, this means you need a lighter weight. This movement will work your obliques and trunk area while also giving a good cardio burn!

Plank Knee-Ins

Start by getting on your hands and knees in a push-up position. Keeping your abs tight bring one knee in towards your chest. Return the foot back to the starting position and repeat with the other leg. Focus on squeezing your abs as you bring your knee in towards your chest.

Wall Trunks

Place your hands on the ground and your feet up on the wall. Start to bring one knee in towards your chest and then kick your leg using your hams and glutes back onto the wall. Repeat with 10 to 20 reps

These exercises also burn a lot of calories and boost your metabolism unlike most forms of crunches and sit-ups. So, add these exercises into your workout regimen and reap the benefits of a stronger, more muscular core!
